HR's Biggest Show Coming to Chicago

Keynote speakers include Hillary Clinton and CNN journalist Fareed Zakaria as more than 15,000 attendees meet at McCormick Place to discuss hot-button issues ranging from immigration reform to implementation of the Affordable Care Act.

Immigration reform, FMLA, employee engagement and recruiting in the age of social media, the Affordable Care Act, background checks, and a host of other hot-button HR topics are on the educational agenda of the Society for Human Resource Management's 65th Annual Conference. Billed as the world’s largest HR conference, it will bring more than 15,000 people to Chicago's McCormick Place when the event kicks off June 15 with seminars and workshops.

Keynote speakers for the event include Hillary Clinton, CNN journalist Fareed Zakaria, author Daniel Pink, and former astronaut Mark Kelly with his wife, Gabrielle Giffords. She was beginning her third term in Congress when she was seriously wounded by a gunman who shot several people while Giffords was meeting with constituents in Tucson, Ariz., in January 2011. SHRM noted that Clinton's speech will not be open to the press.

The conference's expo features more than 700 exhibitors, including many universities, drug and alcohol testing companies, health care organizations, and incentive companies.

On June 17, winners of the AARP Best Employers for Workers Over 50 award, co-sponsored by SHRM, will be announced.
