Occupational health and safety professionals gathered to examine the intersection of neuroscience and technological disruption at AIHA Connect. The annual conference featured keynote addresses centered on how the human brain processes data and how organizations can adapt to a changing workforce landscape.
David Eagleman, a neuroscientist and faculty member at Stanford University, delivered the opening keynote presentation. Eagleman discussed how the brain interprets data, adapts to artificial intelligence and responds to emerging sensory technologies. The address focused on cognitive adaptation within increasingly advanced technological environments. Eagleman has previously authored several books on neural plasticity and served as a scientific advisor for television and media projects.
The conference concluded with a presentation by Tom Koulopoulos, the chairman of the Delphi Group think tank and a professor at Boston University. Koulopoulos outlined an organizational framework for navigating market and workforce disruptions. His presentation focused on the operational dynamics of workplaces where human employees and digital automated systems collaborate. Koulopoulos has written multiple books on corporate technology trends and organizational management.
