HICPAC to Get Update on Health Worker Vaccinations

CDC's Healthcare Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (HICPAC) will meet Feb. 12 at CDC offices in Atlanta to discuss the state of health care workers' vaccinations. Improving vaccination rates among nurses and other health workers is a priority shared by many public health organizations; HICPAC's mission is to advise the HHS secretary, the assistant secretary for Health, CDC's director, and the National Center for Preparedness, Detection, and Control of Infectious Diseases' director (NCPDCID) on strategies for surveillance, prevention, and control of infections, microbial resistance, and policy statements on HAI prevention.

The meeting will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Eastern time at 1600 Clifton Road in the Global Communications Center, Building 19, Auditorium B3. It is open to the public. For more information, contact Wendy Vance at 404-639-2891.
