CFIA is considering changes to the Health of Animals Regulations that would require all Canadian operators of premises where livestock may be loaded or unloaded from a vehicle to have a valid premises identification number for each site and to report the number when receiving livestock.

The agency's reminder said measles cases have been reported in 15 European countries during 2017: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

The agency's Board of Directors approved amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Penalty Amounts Policy D12-196-6, and the changes were effective July 4, 2017.
The standards will help improve the customer experience.

The new requirements require nicotine-containing products or their packaging to be child-resistant and tamper evident, ban certain ingredients, include new labeling requirements and warnings, and also require all e-cigarettes and e-liquids be notified to MHRA before they can be sold.
The report includes information on the occurrence factors established from the AAIB investigations and articles on AAIB's use of simulators and drones in accident investigations.
