Oklahoma Company Credits OSHA Consultation Program with Safety Improvements
A-Line TDS implemented changes to its safety program after participating in OSHA On-Site Consultation, including greater employee involvement in daily safety meetings.

A-Line TDS is receiving renewed attention for its workplace safety improvements after the Oklahoma Department of Labor featured the transformer recycler in a success story released Sept. 16.
The department detailed how several years of work with its OSHA On-Site Consultation Program helped the Tonkawa-based company achieve Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) status in 2025.
A-Line TDS completed its first consultation in 2022. The company later introduced open forums during daily safety meetings, allowing employees to share concerns, ideas and observations about workplace hazards and safety practices.
The Labor Department reported that near misses declined and employee participation in daily safety discussions increased following the changes. A-Line TDS also recorded no incidents during high-risk work such as transformer dismantling.
SHARP recognizes small and medium-sized businesses that have used OSHA On-Site Consultation Program services and maintain workplace safety and health programs that meet the program’s standards.
According to the Labor Department, the consultation process provided guidance for continued improvements and helped make safety a shared responsibility among company leaders and employees.
