Safe + Sound Week Promotes Health and Safety Programs at Work

The event will take place this year from August 15-21.

This August 15-21, employers across the country will recognize safety and health programs with Safe + Sound week.

Safety and health programs provide many benefits, like reducing injuries, saving costs and increasing engagement, according to OSHA.

Led by OSHA, Safe + Sound week provides companies with the opportunity to start their own safety and health program or improve current programs. Employers who want to participate can register on OSHA’s website and view other local employers that sign up. Example activities and resources are available as well.

The National Safety Council has resources available on its website
