OSHA Pursues National Alliance to Prevent Severe Workplace Injuries

The planned partnership would provide employers and workers with shared safety information, educational resources and training.

Employers and workers could gain access to shared safety messaging, training and resources through a national alliance OSHA is pursuing with the National Safety Council (NSC) and other safety organizations to prevent severe workplace injuries and fatalities.

OSHA Assistant Secretary Dave Keeling outlined the initiative during the recent NSC Safety Congress & Expo. The participating organizations would combine their resources to help workplaces identify and address conditions that can cause life-altering injuries or deaths.

The alliance remains under development. OSHA has not announced additional participating organizations or provided a timeline for formally establishing the partnership.
