Free Training Available for Spray Foam Industry

The Sustainable Workplace Alliance will begin its half-day training classes June 24 in Dallas. The training was made possible by a Susan Harwood grant from OSHA.

The Sustainable Workplace Alliance announced its schedule of five half-day training classes for the Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) industry. A Susan Harwood grant from OSHA paid for developing and conducting the training, which will take place in:

  • Dallas, TX, Friday, June 24, 2011
  • San Diego, CA, Monday Aug. 15
  • Phoenix, AZ, Friday, Aug. 19
  • Denver, CO, Tuesday, Aug. 23
  • Orlando, FL, Friday, Sept. 23

The classes will offer information about hazards in the industry and how to protect the health and safety of employees. Each attendee will receive a CD containing PowerPoints, written safety programs, handouts, and other training tools, all of which will be available in English and Spanish. “These outreach training workshops demonstrate the continued efforts of OSHA to educate both employers and employees on how they can conduct business safely and successfully,” said Susan Rivera, executive director of SWA, which is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to proving a safer workplaces for employees in green industries.
