NACOSH Nominations Sought by July 13

OSHA has seven positions on the 12-member advisory committee to fill.

OSHA is now accepting nominations for service on the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH), as 12-member committee that advises the OSHA assistant secretary on policy, programs, and anything else related to administration of the OSH Act. Nominations must be submitted by July 13, the agency says.

The U.S. Labor secretary appoints NACOSH's members. This time around, OSHA seeks these types of nominees: two public representatives, one management representative, two labor representatives, one occupational safety professional representative, and one occupational health professional representative.

NACOSH members serve staggered, two-year terms, and the committee meets at least twice a year.

Submit nominate in one of these ways:

  • electronically at http://www.regulations.gov
  • by faxing it to the OSHA Docket Office at 202-693-1648
  • by mail, express delivery, hand delivery, messenger, or courier service (submit three copies) to the OSHA Docket Office, Room N-2625, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20210, phone 202-693-2350.
