Executive Q&A: Addressing Electrical Safety Gray Areas, Answering the Questions That Don't Have Simple Answers

Date: Wednesday July 29, 2026 at 2:00pm ET - 1:00pm CT - 11:00am PT

Electrical safety isn't always black and white. While standards such as NFPA 70E provide an essential framework for protecting workers, many of the toughest questions arise in situations where the answer depends on the task, the equipment, the worker's qualifications, and the specific circumstances.

Can maintenance personnel reset a breaker? When is energized work truly justified? Who qualifies to perform electrical tasks? Does every interaction with electrical equipment require arc-rated PPE? These are the kinds of real-world questions safety professionals encounter every day, and they're often the ones that generate the most discussion.

Join Occupational Health & Safety and electrical safety expert Derek Vigstol for an interactive Executive Q&A exploring some of the most common as well as the most challenging electrical safety gray areas. Drawing from real questions submitted by safety professionals across previous webinars, Derek will discuss how organizations can make informed decisions, reduce risk, and build confidence when the path forward isn't always obvious.

If you’re looking for practical guidance on applying the standards to the complex situations you face in the field, Derek will provide it in this live Q&A webinar. Whether you're responsible for electrical safety programs, facility operations, maintenance, or EHS compliance, you'll leave with practical insights you can apply to your own workplace.

Bring your questions. This interactive discussion is designed around the real-world challenges safety professionals face every day.
