CDC to Host Lead Poisoning Prevention Meeting

CDC will host an open meeting of the Advisory Committee on Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention on March 18-19, 2008, at the CDC Global Communication Center, Roybal Facility in Atlanta. ACCLPP consists of 13 regular voting members knowledgeable in fields associated with childhood lead poisoning who have been selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The overall goal of the committee is to provide advice that will assist the Department and the nation in reducing the incidence and prevalence of childhood lead poisoning. Although open to the public, the meeting will have limited space vailable. Due to current security measures, a valid government issued identification card with photo is required for admittance into the facility.

Upon arrival, individuals should ask for the meeting by name: CDC Advisory Committee on Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention. For more information, visit www.cdc.gov/nceh/lead/events/calendar.htm.
