ASSE Chapter Prepares for Its Local Annual Safety Conference

The Northeast Illinois, Greater Chicago, and Three Rivers Chapters of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) in association with Northern Illinois University (NIU), OSHA, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) will host the 19th Annual Chicagoland Safety Conference on Sept. 24-28, 2007, at NIU's Naperville Campus.

The conference is expected to draw 300 participants from all levels and varieties of safety and health professionals. Cost for a booth in the exhibit hall is $495, and Lobby booths are $550, available on a first-come, first-serve basis. All exhibitor registrations must be received by Aug. 24, 2007.

Presentations will be on the most current issues in safety and health, including more than 45 sessions covering construction safety, ergonomics, environmental safety, machine guarding, recordkeeping, bio-terrorism, effective safety management, training techniques, and more. Proceeds from the conference provide scholarships for students pursuing a career in safety or a related field, as well as support to local safety and health organizations.
