PIP Global Safety received a score of 69 out of 100 from EcoVadis in June, earning the personal protective equipment company its first Bronze Medal, PIP announced Oct. 15.
The score puts PIP among the top 35% of companies EcoVadis has assessed. The rating looks at performance in four areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Among companies in its industry category, PIP placed in the top 14%, and in the top 4% for sustainable procurement, according to the company.
PIP joined the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary initiative on responsible business practices, in May. The company said it expects to file its first progress report under the initiative next year.
PIP published its first sustainability report in April. A second report, planned for spring 2027, will focus on consolidating and improving its sustainability data. More information is on the company's website.
