The NSC has joined an alliance established by OSHA to help employers address workplace hazards that could cause serious injuries or deaths.
Through the National Serious Injury and Fatality Prevention Alliance, participating organizations will create training materials and share approaches to identifying and controlling risks with the potential for severe consequences.
Other participants include AIHA, ASSP and the University of Colorado Boulder’s CSRA.
The effort will provide guidance for employers, employees and safety professionals. Its focus is on recognizing dangerous conditions and addressing them before an incident occurs.
The council’s participation builds on its existing work to prevent serious workplace injuries and fatalities and its longstanding collaboration with OSHA.
