New Worker Guide Explains How to Address Ergonomic Risks

The 50-page resource uses workplace stories and practical tips to help employees apply ergonomics without technical jargon.

Employees across different occupations have a new resource for understanding ergonomics and identifying concerns in their workplaces.

The International Ergonomics Association (IEA) published Ergonomics Made Easy: A Resource Book for Workers, a free 50-page guide developed specifically for workers.

IEA said the publication uses worker stories, tips and links to additional resources to explain how ergonomics can be applied on the job. The association describes the guide as avoiding technical jargon and lengthy safety instruction.

The publication is the third in IEA’s Ergonomics in a Nutshell series. The two earlier guides address the use of human factors and ergonomics by industry executives and line managers.
