NSC Honors Karen LaRue with 2026 Marion Martin Award

Procter & Gamble safety leader Karen LaRue was recognized for her contributions to workplace safety and her support of women in the profession.

The NSC has named Karen LaRue the recipient of its 2026 Marion Martin Award, which recognizes women’s contributions to the safety profession.

LaRue was honored Sept. 14 during the opening session of the 2026 NSC Safety Congress & Expo in Indianapolis. She is a health, safety and environmental leader at Procter & Gamble and has more than 30 years of workplace safety experience.

Her work has included integrating automation and emerging technologies into operations and incorporating safety into employee onboarding. LaRue has also supported professional development and advancement opportunities for women in safety.

Established in 2016, the annual Marion Martin Award recognizes women whose safety work has helped create opportunities for others in the profession.
