Wyatt Bradbury Earns Inaugural Safety Leadership Award

National Safety Council recognition honors a mid-career professional for contributions to workplace safety, education and standards.

The NSC has named Wyatt Bradbury the first recipient of its Dotson Safety Leadership Award, which recognizes emerging leaders in workplace safety.

Bradbury, 32, is a principal of health and safety at Avetta and an adjunct professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His work includes injury prevention initiatives, safety research and the development of national safety standards.

He has also contributed to professional associations and safety education, helping prepare the next generation of occupational safety professionals.

Established through the Kyle B. Dotson Endowment, the award recognizes a certified safety professional younger than 40 who demonstrates leadership, innovation, ethical conduct and meaningful contributions to safety.

The recognition is part of the council’s Safety for All Scholarship Program.
