Workplace Safety Leaders Receive Distinguished Service Awards
Recipients were recognized for work in injury prevention, construction safety, risk management and safety leadership.

The National Safety Council (NSC) has presented its Distinguished Service to Safety Award to four professionals whose work spans manufacturing, construction, engineering and risk services.
Recipients are Adam L. Bates of Vibrantz Technologies, Mike Court of Graham Construction, Mohamed Elashheb of APTIM and David Netti of Captive Resources Inc. The council describes the award as its highest individual recognition for safety professionals.
Bates, global vice president of environment, health and safety at Vibrantz Technologies, was recognized for his work in injury and illness prevention. His efforts have included strengthening safety governance and developing safety leadership frameworks.
Court, senior vice president of health, safety, environment, quality and sustainability at Graham Construction, was honored for advancing evidence-based health and safety practices in the Canadian construction industry.
Elashheb, a health, safety and environment specialist at APTIM, leads more than 135 safety professionals across five business units. NSC cited his implementation of workplace safety measures across several industries during a career spanning more than two decades.
Netti, head of risk services at Captive Resources, was recognized for developing safety initiatives for small and midsize organizations, including businesses without dedicated safety personnel.
Established in 1942, the Distinguished Service to Safety Award recognizes professionals whose work has contributed to injury prevention.
