Three Organizations Win Green Cross Awards for Safety Programs
Road safety education, predictive analytics and mobile traffic control earned recognition from the National Safety Council.

The National Safety Council (NSC) has named Flagman Inc., AT&T’s National Environment, Health and Safety Organization and Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) as winners of its Green Cross for Safety Awards.
The awards recognize organizations in three categories: safety advocacy, safety excellence and safety innovation. Nine finalists were evaluated across the categories.
The Safety Advocate award went to Flagman Inc. for its K-12 Road Safety Education Outreach Program, which teaches future drivers to slow down, move over and avoid distractions near roadside workers.
The AT&T National EH&S Organization received the Safety Excellence award for using predictive analytics, training, coaching and vehicle safety technology to reduce motor vehicle incidents by 15.4% from 2024 to 2025.
The Clayton County Water Authority earned the Safety Innovation award for developing a solar-powered mobile traffic control hub that combines signage, lighting, equipment storage and intrusion alerts. The system has reduced worker exposure to traffic hazards by 23%.
The awards celebration also raised more than $660,000 to support safety education, resources and programs for workplaces, roadways and communities.
The Green Cross awards recognize safety programs developed by corporations, nonprofit organizations, public agencies and other groups.
