The NSC is launching the 30th anniversary of National Safety Month this June, calling on employers and individuals to address preventable injuries, which remain a leading cause of death in the United States.
The annual campaign focuses on equipping workplaces and communities with practical tools to reduce safety risks. Each week of the month highlights a specific hazard or safety focus area.
The weekly themes for the campaign include moving safety forward, driving and road safety, holistic worker health and the prevention of slips, trips and falls.
The initiative provides free safety resources and educational materials designed to build safer environments both on and off the job. Organizations nationwide can access these materials to implement weekly safety discussions, training sessions and risk-assessment strategies throughout June.
