Speakers Announced for National Forklift Safety Day

The Industrial Truck Association will host its annual event focused on reducing workplace accidents and improving operator education.

Industry leaders and federal regulators will gather at the National Press Club for the 13th annual National Forklift Safety Day.

The event, which offers both in-person and virtual attendance options, serves as an educational platform to emphasize the safe operation of powered industrial trucks. Presenters will focus on the importance of rigorous operator training, routine equipment inspections and evolving safety protocols.

This year's speaker lineup includes federal officials and safety experts, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration Assistant Secretary David Keeling and Industrial Truck Association President Brian Feehan. Representatives from Crown Equipment Corporation, Logisnext Americas Inc. and The Bill Sims Company will also speak.

The educational forum is free and open to the public. Organizers said the event will address how to maintain strong safety cultures on manufacturing floors and distribution centers as the material handling industry adopts new automated technologies.
