New Leadership Elected to Serve Safety Professionals

Volunteer leaders prepare to guide the society's strategic goals and EHS priorities for the upcoming 2026-27 term beginning in July.

The ASSP announced its new volunteer leaders following the society’s 2026 elections. The incoming board members begin their terms July 1 and will serve through June 30, 2027.

The elected leaders represent safety expertise across several industries, including lithium mining, insurance and manufacturing. The board is responsible for addressing emerging environmental, health and safety priorities.

The board’s top positions include president, president-elect, senior vice president, vice president of finance and director-at-large. Most positions carry one-year terms, while the vice president of finance and director-at-large roles are three-year terms.

The 2026-27 Board of Directors includes:

  • President: Monique Parker, CSP, chief sustainability officer at Elevra Lithium.
  • President-Elect: Tim Page-Bottorff, MS, CSP, CIT, FASSP, senior director of health, safety, security, environment and quality at JLL.
  • Senior Vice President: Thomas Kramer, PE, CSP, subject matter expert at LJB Inc.
  • Vice President of Finance: Eric Sachleben, CSP, division director at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
  • Director-at-Large: Elizabeth Barnette, CSP, SMP, regional EHS manager at Trane Technologies.

These individuals join current directors-at-large Scott DeBow, Todd Loushine, Heather MacDougall and Public Director Philip Bell. ASSP CEO Jennifer McNelly also serves on the board.

Board candidates must be professional members who meet specific criteria, including a record of contributions to the EHS profession and strong governance acumen. All board members also serve as trustees for the ASSP Foundation.
