MSHA and NSSGA Renew Safety Alliance

Renewed partnership focuses on providing training resources and technical assistance to protect the health of aggregate miners.

The Mine Safety and Health Administration has renewed its alliance with the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association to continue collaboration on miner safety.

The agreement ensures that industry personnel and contractors have access to guidance, information and training resources designed to protect the health of those working in the aggregates industry.

Under the terms of the alliance, both organizations will work together to provide technical assistance and analyze industry data to create educational materials. The partnership also facilitates the sharing of best practices and the exchange of timely information regarding injury and employment trends.

Additionally, the MSHA and NSSGA will participate in joint workshops, conferences and training sessions to address specific safety challenges facing the industry.
