National Safety Apparel has acquired the high-performance flame-resistant and high-visibility product lines from Lakeland Industries.
The acquisition, supported by private equity firm Blue Point Capital Partners, expands the company’s offerings for workers in the industrial and utility sectors. The addition of these product lines is intended to broaden the company’s range of personal protective equipment.
NSA has now completed six acquisitions since partnering with Blue Point. The company has completed 20 total transactions throughout its history as part of a strategy to scale its manufacturing capabilities and customer base.
Company leadership said the Lakeland product lines are well-established in the safety-critical sector and complement the existing NSA portfolio. The company plans to continue pursuing strategic acquisitions within the safety products market.
Based in Cleveland, NSA was founded in 1935 and specializes in flame-resistant clothing, electrical personal protective equipment and industrial uniforms.
