AIHA and Human Factors and Ergonomics Society Sign MoU

Under the MoU, AIHA and HFES will work on education programs together.

Earlier this week, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The two organizations plan to “enhance and promote the roles of professionals in the fields of occupational and environmental health and safety and ergonomics,” according to an AIHA news release.

Both AIHA and HFES will promote each other’s offerings and work together on “joint OEHS and ergonomics education programs,” AIHA said.

“Members of our organizations work to improve the safety and well-being of workers in all walks of life,” HFES President Carolyn Sommerich, PhD, said in the news release. “Joint activities stemming from this agreement will better equip student and professional members of our organizations to be successful in their careers, and future advocacy initiatives will support safer and healthier work for all.”

  • The MGC Simple Plus

The MGC Simple Plus is a simple-to-use, portable multi-gas detector that runs continuously for three years without needing to be recharged or routinely calibrated after its initial charge and calibration during manufacturing. The detector reliably tests a worksite’s atmosphere for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen and combustible gases (LEL). Additionally, it is durable enough to withstand the harshest treatment and environments, which is why it has an IP 68 rating. The MGC Simple Plus is also compatible with a variety of accessories, such as Gas Clip Technologies’ new GCT External Pump. Visit gascliptech.com for more information. 3
