New Product Launches Persist Despite No Trade Shows

The safety industry continues to see developments in innovation and technology despite no trade shows to show off new products in person.

Now that the entire world is familiar with the term “PPE,” all eyes are on the occupational health and safety industry for products and services to help in the fight against the Coronavirus. The safety industry, however, has been dedicated to worker safety long before the pandemic began and continues to innovate and further safety products, technology and services for those who work day in and day out in hazardous environments.

A lot of changes have taken place due to the pandemic, but perhaps the one that has been the most difficult to come to terms with is the fact that there were no large in-person trade shows for safety companies to showcase their new products at this year. With large trade shows such as the American Society of Safety Professional’s Safety 2020 and the National Safety Council Congress & Expo either turning to a virtual layout or being postponed until next year, companies are trying to decide the best way to tell existing and perspective clients the new equipment in their lineups.

Occupational Health & Safety found ourselves in a very unique situation, with our magazine being delivered directly to those who are interested in new and exciting products from industry brand names, we decided the best way to showcase these products was to dedicate some space to them in the magazine.

So, take a look at the products on the next few pages and pretend you are walking down the aisles of a trade show. For more information on any of the products shown, feel free to visit the links listed.

Business looks different these days, but it doesn’t have to come to a complete halt. Whether your workers are on the jobsite every day or they are working from home, their health and safety is paramount. Hopefully one of these new products can help make your job as an occupational health and safety professional easier. To view all winners, visit our NPOY 2021 webpage.
