Funding Awarded to Iowa Workers Affected by John Deere Layoffs

The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded $691,693 as part of a National Dislocated Worker Grant.

The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded an additional $691,693 to Iowa Workforce Development in order to provide training services to 650 workers affected by John Deere layoffs at facilities in Ankeny and Waterloo, Iowa, in 2015.

This additional funding brings the total funds awarded to the project up to $1,728,979. All 650 workers have been certified as eligible for Trade Adjustment Assistance.
