Friday New Product Roundup: October 23

New safety offerings span impact gloves, winter gear, connected gas detection, fire suppression services and protective fabrics.

Ergodyne TriHex Adds Flexible Back of Hand Protection

Ergodyne has introduced TriHex, a thermoplastic rubber impact protection system designed to protect the back of the hand while maintaining flexibility, airflow and dexterity. The system is available across gloves for varied working conditions, including three new goatskin leather ProFlex models. The ProFlex 711 combines leather and mesh with padded palms and A1 cut resistance, while the ProFlex 712 and 713 offer A6 cut resistance, level 5 abrasion resistance and level 2 impact protection. The 712 uses leather and mesh for ventilation, while the 713 features full goatskin construction.

Ergodyne Expands Insulated Winter Workwear

Ergodyne’s 2026-27 winter collection adds insulated outerwear and head protection for outdoor workers and those in refrigerated environments. The products expand the use of ampliFIRE aluminum insulation, designed to reflect body heat while maintaining flexibility and breathability. The GloWear 8390X jacket meets ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 Type R, Class 3 visibility requirements and combines insulation with a wind- and water-resistant shell. The N-Ferno 6835 liner fits beneath hard hats and safety helmets, covering the head, ears and neck and providing pockets for optional warming packs.

Blackline G8 Connects Gas Detection With Remote Monitoring

Blackline Safety’s G8 wearable received a 2026 Firehouse Innovation Award, following the company’s recognition for its EXO 8 area monitor last year. Paired with Blackline Live software, G8 combines gas detection, lone worker protection and communication with live readings, alerts and firefighter location information for command teams. A New Bedford Fire Department firefighter said remote alerts help him identify hazardous conditions and coordinate assistance. G8 and Blackline Live also received 2026 OH&S Industrial Hygiene Awards in the connected device and software categories, respectively.

A-Gas Adds Fire Suppression Cylinder Recharging Near Philadelphia

A-Gas has added clean agent fire suppression cylinder recharging at its Greater Philadelphia facility, expanding its existing recovery and exchange services. The location offers one-day transit to Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets, including Boston, New York, Baltimore and Washington. It will recharge leaking or discharged cylinders and stock replacement units in multiple brands and sizes through the company’s Simple Swap program. Under that program, customers receive replacement hardware, with A-Gas collecting the original cylinders and providing an agreed credit for recovered suppression agent.

Arclin Nomex Xtreme Arc Targets Electrical and Fire Hazards

Arclin’s Nomex and Kevlar personal protection portfolio includes materials designed to address heat, flame, arc flash and cut hazards. Nomex Xtreme Arc is a flame-resistant fabric intended for workers in utility and electrical applications. Its ArmorCell technology forms insulating air pockets when exposed to heat, helping slow heat transfer and reduce burn severity, according to the company. Kevlar fibers are used in protective clothing and equipment to provide cut resistance and durability across industrial applications.
