Two Chair Models Recalled Amid Fall Hazards

Both chair models can break, causing injuries from falls. About 2.3 million of them have been recalled.

Two separate chair recalls were announced this week due to a risk of the products breaking and causing falls, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Two million patio chairs sold at Home Depot and 315,000 bar chairs sold at Lowe's are involved in the recall.

There have been 25 reports of chairs sold at Home Depot and manufactured by Casual Living Worldwide breaking, causing injuries from falls.

3i corporation, the Hong Kong company behind the swivel chairs sold at Lowe's, has received 457 reports of bar chairs breaking, resulting in 10 injuries such as broken ribs and scrapes.
