AIH Foundation Offering 2011-2012 Scholarships
All application materials are due by March 5.
The American Industrial Hygiene Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2011-2012 academic year. As in previous years, applications are to be completed and submitted by the students. Scholarship awards have traditionally ranged between $1,000 and $4,000 and are possible because of corporate and individual contributions and local section donations.
Any student/full/associate member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association who is attending or applying to an ABET-accredited IH graduate or undergraduate program, a NIOSH ERC IH program, or a CEPH-accredited program with occupational health emphasis, or a New York University student applying for the Dr. Morton Lippmann Endowed Scholarship, may apply. Students currently attending or applying to IH programs at these Canadian universities also are eligible: McGill University, University of British Columbia, Université de Montréal, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, University of Toronto.
Applicants are evaluated based on academic record, extracurricular activities, future goals as an industrial hygienist, and potential for leadership in the IH profession. Several of the scholarships have specific criteria, and schools/students who meet those criteria will be given first consideration.
