'100 Years of Hazmat Safety' is BOE's Theme for May 22-24 Seminar

This is a big year and May is an important month for the Bureau of Explosives, which was founded in 1907 by the railroad industry and wrote the first hazardous materials regulations -- the forerunners of today's DOT regulations. The AAR/BOE 20th Annual Hazardous Materials Seminar, set for May 22-24 in Kansas City, Mo., fittingly has the theme, "100 Years of Hazmat Safety."

The event will include more than 30 workshops on emergency response, regulatory requirements, and other transportation issues. Some of the workshops satisfy DOTOSHA requirements for annual training. The sessions are appropriate for the rail, trucking, and chemical industries, and the seminar includes an expo.

Call 719-584-0749 or visit http://boe.aar.com/ for information about the event, which will take place at the Westin Crown Center, located at One Pershing Road.
