Swenco Limited—a company that produces OEM safety footwear components—has released a Steel-Flex puncture-resistant shoe insole that can protect workers against sharp objects, such as pieces of metal, first aid equipment, glass shards and more. For the new design, Swenco completely encapsulated a CSA-certified steel plate inside a puncture resistant insole, ensuring no objects can damage the wearer’s foot. The insoles can be used by workers in tire recycling, renovation, construction, metalworking, medical first responders, sanitation, landfills and more.
