NAHB Updates Safety and Health Programs for Residential Construction
Updated model safety plans from the National Association of Home Builders are designed to help builders, remodelers, and siding contractors improve jobsite safety.

The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has updated three key safety and health programs aimed at helping residential construction companies strengthen jobsite safety.
The updated programs provide model safety plans for small to mid-sized home builders, remodelers, and siding contractors. They include customizable tools such as job-site checklists, employee handbooks, safety notices, and incident investigation forms.
NAHB said the revisions are intended to keep safety resources practical and aligned with the current industry’s best practices. The original model program was introduced in 2017, with additional programs later developed for remodeling and siding work.
The updated resources include the NAHB Safety & Health Program, the Remodeler Safety & Health Program, and the Siding Contractor Safety & Health Program. Companies may use the programs in full or adapt sections to meet their specific needs.
The safety updates support NAHB’s broader Safety 365 initiative, which focuses on reducing injuries and fatalities in residential construction.
