Construction Safety Week 2027 Makes Mental Health Part of the Safety Focus

The week runs May 3-7, 2027, and will look past physical hazards to focus on each worker as a whole person.

People who work in construction will have a full Safety Week devoted to their total well-being, a first for the event, organizers of Construction Safety Week 2027 said.

Organizers said they are building on a shared pledge to protect and support the people whose work makes construction possible. That effort runs through their Recognize, Respond and Respect framework and All In Together.

Safer jobsites require an understanding of mental as well as physical factors that affect whether people can stay safe and do their best on the job, organizers said. In their view, mental health is fundamental to both productivity and safety rather than a separate issue.
