The National Safety Council (NSC) is calling on workplaces and communities across the U.S. to join in observing National Safety Month this June, an annual initiative to raise awareness about preventable injuries—one of the leading causes of death in the country.
Established by NSC in 1996, National Safety Month serves as a rallying point for organizations and individuals to focus on reducing risks that affect Americans at work, at home, and on the road. This year, participants will receive free safety resources aimed at promoting a culture of safety in every environment.
2025 Weekly Safety Topics:
Week 1 (June 1–7): Continuous Improvement
Week 2 (June 8–14): Employee Engagement
Week 3 (June 15–21): Roadway Safety
Week 4 (June 22–30): Wellbeing
Free resources available to all participants include campaign posters, weekly safety talks, quizzes, videos, facts, figures, and the “Go Green for Safety” sign. These materials are designed to help prevent injuries and fatalities among coworkers, family, friends, and neighbors.
NSC members will receive exclusive content, including toolkits, webinars, and communication templates to further support internal outreach and engagement throughout the month.
“Whether you’re on the job or off the clock, safety should never take a break,” said a representative from the NSC. “We’re proud to continue this nationwide initiative to ensure everyone goes home safe—every day.”
No registration is necessary for current NSC members, who will automatically receive all resources, including member-exclusive tools.
