Washington L&I Sponsoring Two Labor Law Seminars

The training on state and federal labor law training will be offered in Spanish and English in Yakima on May 8 and in Wenatchee on May 10. They are free, half-day forums covering wage and hour requirements, workplace safety and health regulations, transportation, housing, workers' compensation claims, and more.

Labor law seminars on May 8 and May 10 in Washington state will give agricultural supervisors and crew bosses the right training to help ensure employers that hire workers with H-2A visas follow the law. The two forums are sponsored by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries, the Washington Employment Security Department, the U.S. Department of Labor, and WorkSource.

The May 8 seminar is at WorkSource Yakima, 1205 Ahtanum Ridge Dr., Union Gap, with the Spanish session from 8:15 a.m. to noon and the English session running from 1:15 to 4:45 p.m. The Wenatchee seminar is on May 10 at WorkSource Wenatchee, 270 9th st. NE #240, East Wenatchee, with the Spanish session from 8:15 a.m. to noon. and the English session from 1:15 to 4:45 p.m.
