NHTSA Advises Owners of Certain Ford and Lincoln Vehicles to Take Safety Precautions

The agency has advised owners of these cars to fix their vehicles as soon as possible.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has advised owners of Ford Fiesta, Ford Fusion, and Lincoln MKZ vehicles to watch for notification from Ford and get their vehicle fixed as soon as possible.

The Ford Motor Company recalled 390,000 vehicles after finding defective door latches that can prevent the door from properly closing, resulting in the door opening while the vehicle is moving. NHTSA recommends that consumers not drive their cars if they have trouble closing the door.
