November PPE Workshop to Focus on Emerging Technologies

The event is presented by the Technical Support Working Group, NIOSH's National Personal Protective Equipment Laboratory (NPPTL), NFPA, the National Institute of Justice, and the International Association of Fire Fighters.

Fire fighters, law enforcement officials, and hazmat technicians are likely to be most interested in a November 2012 Personal Protective Equipment Workshop being presented by NIOSH's National Personal Protective Equipment Laboratory (NPPTL), NFPA, the National Institute of Justice, and the International Association of Fire Fighters.

The location is the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood, Fla., and the event will include an expo and will focus on emerging technologies, standards, and next-generation tools.

The event is presented by these partner organizations and the Technical Support Working Group, which conducts U.S. national interagency R&D on technologies for combating terrorism. Subgroups are concerned with PPE and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear countermeasures.
