Thirty Students Win AIHF Scholarships

Chosen from a record number of applicants, they will be recognized June 19 during the AIHce conference in Indianapolis.

The American Industrial Hygiene Foundation on May 18 announced the names of 30 students who are receiving 2012–2013 Scholarship Awards and will be recognized June 19 during the AIHce conference's general session that day in Indianapolis.

The scholarships are provided through contributions from AIHA members, individuals, corporations, and local sections and total more than $107,500 this year.

"The AIHF Scholarship Award highlights excellent students enrolled in industrial hygiene coursework and programs," AIHF President Carter Ficklen said. "This year we received a record number of applications, and the selection process was highly competitive. With the gracious support of our donors, we're extremely pleased to recognize these outstanding and dedicated students who represent the strong future of our profession."

All of the winners are committed to recognized IH programs. They were chosen for showing excellence in their studies and dedication to the IH profession.
