2012 Ergo Expo Abstracts Due Soon

Applications from potential speakers at the November 2012 event are due by Feb. 15.

The recently concluded 2011 National Ergonomics Conference and Expo in Las Vegas was another big success, according to organizers, who are already busily mapping out the next one for November 2012 at Ceasars Palace. A highlight of the 2011 show was the announcement of the 10th Annual ErgoExpo Attendees' Choice Awards.

The winners were Equipois' X-Ar™ Exoskeletal Arm, Ergotron's WorkFit-A Sit-Stand Desk, Kenson's OysterMouse, Kinesis Corporation's Freestyle 2 Split-Adjustable Keyboard, and Mas Un Limited's Simply Dump It wheelbarrow handles. These were the third win for Equipois and the second times Kinesis won an award.

Jon Biggs, Sales & Marketing director for Kinesis, said the award "means a great deal to us because the people voting are safety and health professionals and educated decision makers. Just like when the original Freestyle won the award five years ago, the market experts have decided that we created a superior ergonomic keyboard. We couldn't be more pleased."

Eric Golden, president of Equipois, said the conference "has been an invaluable resource for us in understanding our customers' needs since our company's birth. To be recognized with the Attendees' Choice Award for the third time from this illustrious group is a high honor."

To exhibit, advertise, or sponsor a webinar (Continental Exhibitions will expand its "Webinar Wednesday" program in 2012, with the presentations taking place on the second Wednesday of the month beginning in January), contact Lenore Kolb Higgins, vice president of Sales & Marketing, at [email protected] or 212-370-5005, ext. 23.

The deadline for applications from those interested in speaking at the 2012 conference is Feb. 15; e-mail [email protected] for details. Attendees can join a e-mail list at www.ErgoExpo.com and can follow the event at www.twitter.com/ergoexpo.
