Two-Hour HACCP Webinar Set for Dec. 8

Two experts from the Grocery Manufacturers Association will help attendees comply with new hazard analysis and prevention plans required by the Food Safety Modernization Act.

The Grocery Manufacturers Association will present a webinar from 1 to 3 p.m. EST on Dec. 8 about hazard analysis and food safety control plans. The speakers, Glenn Black, Ph.D., and Warren Stone, are staff experts who will help attendees comply with new requirements in the Food Safety Modernization Act.

The webinar isn't free; GMA members will pay $250 and non-members are charged $350.

Black is director of science operations and food protection. He earned his Ph.D. in food science from the University of Tennessee, according to GMA, which says Black provides leadership and direction for research and member services related to food processing and microbiological safety.

Stone is director of science policy, compliance, and inspection. He is an instructor for GMA HACCP courses and is staff liaison for the association’s Food Defense Committee and Sanitary Design Working Group. GMA said he has written numerous HACCP, quality system, sanitation, and microbiological control programs for food companies.
