Seventh Fully Networked Car Workshop Set for March 2012

Involving ISO and two other standards organizations, it will coincide with the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show, which is taking place March 8-18, 2012.

The seventh Fully Networked Car workshop will be held in Geneva, Switzerland, on March 7-8, 2012, at the 82nd Geneva International Motor Show, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) recently announced. The annual workshop is organized there by the World Standards Cooperation, a partnership comprising the International Electrotechnical Commission, ISO, and the International Union of Telecommunication.

The workshop is a forum for strategic discussions among the three on topics including:

  • Electric vehicles and electromobility
  • Regional perspectives on intelligent transport systems
  • Safety
  • Intelligent transport systems' communications
  • The car of the future

The Geneva International Motor Show will take place March 8-18, 2012, and again will include a Green Pavilion showcasing biofuels and other alternative and ecological propulsion technologies and renewable fuel sources.
