Buy Quiet Workshop Set for Nov. 9-10

The NIOSH event in Cincinnati is intended to encourage greater use of engineering noise controls by construction and manufacturing employers.

NIOSH announced a two-day Buy Quiet Workshop organized by the NORA Construction Sector and Manufacturing Sector Programs and the NIOSH Hearing Loss Prevention Cross-sector Program will take place Nov. 9-10 in Cincinnati. Participants will discuss the feasibility and functionality of Buy Quiet programs, with the goal of seeing these programs adopted more widely.

The agency's notice says encouraging more construction and manufacturing employers to use engineering noise controls on machinery and equipment and to use Buy Quiet programs are goals of the workshop, as well. Open to the public, it will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST both days at the Robert A. Taft Laboratories, Taft Auditorium, 4676 Columbia Parkway.
