AIHA Connect 2024: An Innovation and Education Hub

The upcoming event in Columbus, Ohio, is gearing up to host a bustling expo hall and comprehensive educational conference for professionals in industrial hygiene and worker health and safety.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association’s upcoming AIHA Connect event, running May 20-22 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio, will combine a dynamic expo with an extensive conference program. The aim is an event that caters to a wide range of industrial hygiene interests and educational needs.

Expo Highlights

The expo floor should provide a hub of innovation and networking opportunities with access to more than 150 exhibitor booths. Notably, the Exhibitor Pavilion, marked by teal carpets, will feature first-time exhibitors with groundbreaking products and services.

The event’s Innovation Stations will offer presentations on the latest in equipment and technology, and the PPE fashion show promises to spotlight cutting-edge safety solutions tailored for workforce diversity and protection.

A new addition, the Nexus Lounge, will provide a dedicated space for students and early career professionals to connect and recharge. Alongside, attendees can utilize collaboration areas for networking or enjoying meals from the food and beverage areas, with a new Dine and Dash option available for pre-purchase to maximize time at the expo.

Conference Insights

At the heart of AIHA Connect are the educational sessions: 170 sessions spanning 34 topics, delivered by 360 speakers, designed to broaden knowledge and skills in industrial hygiene and occupational and environmental health and safety. Topics range from core IH/OEHS issues to sessions aimed at enhancing human skills like leadership and communication.

With up to 17 certification maintenance hours available, attendees have ample opportunity to prepare for CIH recertification, ensuring they stay at the forefront of industry standards and practices. Attendees will also benefit from the AIHA Educational Transcript, which provides proof of participation and updates following the event to reflect contact hours for both in-person and virtual participants.

For those unable to attend every session or looking for flexible learning options, AIHA Connect OnDemand will offer recordings of most sessions for later viewing, included with full registration.
