ASSE Seeking New Executive Director

The American Society of Safety Engineers has launched a search for a new executive director. Dennis Hudson, ASSE's current executive director, is sceheduled to retire in April 2018.

To find the next executive director, ASSE's Board of Directors is working with the executive search firm Korn Ferry. This selected candidate will work collaboratively with the board, ASSE staffers, and ASSE stakeholders "to build on the Society’s rich legacy and address the evolving needs of the professional OSH community," the society's news release states.

CSP, said in an e-mail to the society's volunteer leaders. The details of the position say the location is Park Ridge, Ill., and the selected candidate "will provide inspirational, strategic leadership, and effective management of the organization and staff." Specific responsibilities include strategic direction, staff leadership, advocacy/public policy, membership development, revenue generation, and financial and operational oversight.

A master's degree is strongly preferred, but a bachelor's degree is required.
