National Vaccine Advisory Committee Meeting Next Month

Its meeting will include a report from the Vaccine Confidence Working Group with recommendations for measuring and evaluating how confidence in vaccines affects the optimal use of recommended childhood vaccines in the United States.

HHS announced that the National Vaccine Advisory Committee will meet June 9-10. The meeting, which is open to the public and will be available via a live webcast, will include recommendations from several NVAC working groups and a report from the Vaccine Confidence Working Group with recommendations for measuring and evaluating how confidence in vaccines affects the optimal use of recommended childhood vaccines in the United States.

The agenda will be posted on the NVAC website at http://www.hhs.gov/nvpo/nvac as soon as it becomes available.

The committee also will review analyses and proposed recommendations on how vaccines could play more prominently in efforts described in the President’s National Strategy and Action Plan to Combat Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria.
