Lloyd's Course to Feature Costa Concordia Salvage Case Study

TITAN Salvage/Marine Response Alliance's Lindsay Malen, director of business development, will discuss challenges and lessons learned during the salvage and wreck removal.

TITAN Salvage/Marine Response Alliance's Lindsay Malen, director of business development, is scheduled to speak on a panel of experts at next month's Marine Pollution USA seminar, in Miami, Fla. The Nov. 17-18 event is presented by Lloyd's Maritime Academy at the Mayfair Hotel & Spa, covering topics that include compliance with marine pollution regulations, best practice claims management, effective emergency response, and emerging pollution risk areas that include air emissions, ballast water treatment, and garbage waste management.

A TITAN Salvage news release said Malen will lend her expertise during a segment titled "Effective Response Management for Marine Pollution Incidents," which will include a case study about the Costa Concordia. Malen will discuss key challenges and lessons learned during the salvage and wreck removal on the island of Giglio.
