New Senior Project Manager Added to NFPA Wildland Fire Unit

Lucian Deacon is based in Denver and will manage the division's public outreach efforts.

The National Fire Protection Association's Wildland Fire Operations Division has a new senior project manager, Lucian Deaton, who is based at the NFPA field office in Denver and will manage the public outreach efforts of the division, including the Firewise Communities and Fire Adapted Communities programs.

Deaton previously was the wildland fire program manager for the International Association of Fire Chiefs, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the national Ready, Set, Go! program in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service and other partners. He also has worked in government relations for IAFC and the National Association of Police Organizations.
