Posters Due for Hearing Loss Prevention in Kids Event

Presented by 3M and the National Hearing Conservation Association on Oct. 15-16, it includes several experts in hearing conservation. Posters are due by Aug. 16.

Posters are due Aug. 16 for an event that every safety professional should hold near and dear: trying to prevent hearing loss in young people. We've all seen how teens, and now older people, are listening to music too loud, and this Oct. 15-16 event will offer some solutions to the problem.

Sponsored by 3M, with assistance from the National Hearing Conservation Association, it has first-rate presentations by experts such as Elliott Berger, Rick Neitzel, and Laurie Wells. Frank Little, vice president and general manager of 3M's Personal Safety Division, is scheduled to deliver the welcome address on Oct. 15.

The "Innovations in Noise-Induced Hearing Loss and Tinnitus Prevention in Kids" event will take place in St. Paul, Minn.
