Milliken Benchmarking Conferences Set for August, October

Joe Salley, Ph.D., the company's president and CEO, will discuss "Safety From the CEO's Perspective" on the second day of the conferences.

Two three-day benchmarking conferences are being offered during the second half of 2013 by Performance Solutions by Milliken. The company has "Best Practices in World-Class Safety Practices" conferences scheduled for Aug. 13-15 and Oct. 22-24 at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. The conference's target audience includes safety managers, plant managers, CEOs, HR directors, and "anyone interested in achieving safe, agile, aggressive and enlightened manufacturing," according to the brochure.

The agenda includes presentations by numerous Milliken leaders, such as Wayne Punch, corporate emeritus director of safety & health for Milliken & Company, and Joe Salley, Ph.D., the company's president and CEO, who will discuss "Safety From the CEO's Perspective" on the second day of these conferences.

Attending a conference costs $1,495 per person; $1,395 per person for teams of three or more; and $995 per person for teams of six or more that include one or more corporate-level sponsors as a participant. This covers tuition, a pre-conference survey, a resource workbook, program materials, networking luncheons, and a plant visit, but not lodging or other meals.
